Brandmandseksamen

Practise for the Danish firefighter entry exam — quiz, mnemonics and fitness.

What it does

Brandmandseksamen gathers every exam question into one quiz with four answers each, just like the real thing. Train one category at a time or all eight at once, get your score immediately, and watch yourself improve. No login, no connection needed.

  • 100 exam questions with four answers each
  • Eight categories, from fire chemistry to smoke diving
  • 12 mnemonics in one place
  • Three training plans for the fitness test
  • History, so you can see your progress
  • No login and no connection needed
How it works

Study for the exam in the ten minutes you have

The theory exam of Denmark's firefighter response training consists of C questions: four options, one correct. Brandmandseksamen keeps the whole question bank in your pocket, together with the mnemonics and a training programme for the physical part.

01

The quiz: the whole bank, one question at a time

The quiz asks the questions the way the exam does — question at the top, four answers below, one correct. The topic appears as a label above the question, so you know whether it is rescue service, fire theory, equipment or something else.

Choose an answer and the app says immediately whether it was right: the correct answer turns green and the counter at the top ticks up. There is no penalty for guessing wrong — it is a training app, not an exam.

The clock runs throughout, and the number beside it says how many you have got right. Both are there for the same reason: in the real exam time is a factor, and it is easier to get used to while you are still studying.

  • Every question in the chosen category — 100 in all
  • Four options, as in the exam
  • The correct answer is shown at once, with no penalty for guessing
  • Time and correct count run throughout

02

Study the part you are weak on

You can take the whole bank or pick one category and work through it. If the rescue service is the difficult part, you take only the rescue service.

The quiz always contains every available question in the chosen category — it does not draw a random sample. If you have been through it, you have been through it.

Earlier results are kept, so you can see whether you are improving.

The mnemonics, gathered in one place

The subject is full of abbreviations you have to be able to recite: ABCDEF for the fire classes on a hand extinguisher, the fire triangle, the phases of a compartment fire, the five stages of the rescue service, KLF and KLFT for dealing with gas cylinders, and the colour coding of cylinders.

Each has its own page, where the letters stand next to what they mean — with an example beside them. A is solids: wood, paper, textiles. B is liquids: petrol, oil, alcohol.

This is the kind of thing you need to have seen fifteen times, and which is a nuisance to look up in a folder. Here it is three taps.

The physical part has an exam too

The training demands more than theory, and the app carries three programmes written for exactly what the work requires: cardio for smoke-diving endurance, strength for carrying and lifting, and functional circuit training that mimics real operational tasks.

Each programme is a series of exercises with time, repetitions and what it trains. The cardio programme is 35 minutes and four exercises: warm-up, intervals that simulate an operation — short, hard load and a short pause — stair running with a 10-15 kg backpack, and cool-down.

No account, no syncing. The programmes live in the app and work without a network.
